WESTON, W.Va. (WV News) — A new consignment shop in downtown Weston has something for anyone’s style.
Anything Goez Discount Store & More is similar to Plato’s Closet in Morgantown, buying & selling trendy secondhand clothing, said owner Tyler Vaughan.
“People bring their items in and I give them a price and I buy it from them,” he said.
Vaughan also accepts donations and often travels to other thrift stores.
“I go everywhere for a deal,” he said.
The store offers name brand items for sale, including Nike, Jordan and The North Face.
“We have high-end items all the way down to just your normal everyday wear,” Vaughan said.
Also, Anything Goez has a variety of children’s clothes, jewelry and shoes.
Thrifting has always been a passion of Vaughan.
“I love clothes and I love shoes,” he said. I’ve always had a thing for shoes. I collect shoes. I’m always known for having the best shoes in school.”
Vaughan opened his shop earlier this year.
“I woke up one day and said, ‘I’m opening up a business,’” he said.
The next day, Vaughan found the store’s location at 150 Main Ave.
Vaughan’s idea of starting his own business was inspired by his great-grandfather.
“My great-grandpa was an entrepreneur, and I always got to hear his stories and how he became something. So, I always look up to that,” he said. “I’ve always had a passion to become better and the next day become a better me.”
His family supported his dream and helped stock the shop for the grand opening.
“My family went through their things and my friends,” he said. “I wrote a big thing on the window that said, ‘donations accepted, opening soon,’” he said.
Currently, Vaughan is the sole employee. But on occasion, his mother or grandmother help him run the store.
Vaughan did not attend college. Rather, he produced videos for TikTok, which he continues to do part-time.
Vaughan is preparing to begin clothing giveaways for people in need. He also wants to expand and grow beyond his current space.
“I don’t feel like I have enough room here already,” he said. “I want to grow and have something for everyone.”
